Make Level Editing Great Again
We are starting the year 2025 with the Update, that will make sure to Make Level Editing Great Again.
Everyone will have the option to unleash their creativity even further with our brand-new Level Editor, with our two new characters in the game and more.
Let’s check those new features.
The fixed version is 0.2.1.
Level Editor
With our new feature, you now have much more options on how to create and play your desired scenario. To get to the Level Editor just Create a new scenario or Edit any of the previous ones. On the left side of the screen, you will see a new menu offering “Upickable items”, “Pickable items” and “Characters”.
You can select from both pickable and unpickable items and you can place them anywhere on the map if the color of each tile under the item is green. Once at least one tile is red, it won’t allow you to place that item. It is possible to move existing items around or delete them.
Unpickable items
Once you will play the scenario, unpickable items will remain in the same place and can’t be moved. But apart from crate and barrel, which are for decorative purposes, all those items can be used for various actions, such as crafting, sitting, getting water or food, or there is even a toilet.

Pickable items
Those can be various items, that can be moved, dropped, thrown, eaten, drunk, or used as a weapon.
Characters
You can select up to five characters in any scenario. You can choose any from the list of 13 possibilities and it is even possible to place the same character several times, if you’d like.

Due to technical difficulties, Unpickable items can’t be changed in the Apartment map. This should be fixed in future updates.

Autosave
During editing, you can sometimes spot the save icon in the top right corner. This new autosave feature assures, that your creative work is being constantly autosaved, so you won’t lose your progress if something unpredictable happens.
New Characters
We introduced two new characters to the game Donnie Bluff and Marek Rosa.

Marek Rosa

Donnie Bluff
Unlike characters, that were introduced in the Update 0.2.0, which were assigned to a certain map and couldn’t appear anywhere else, our new characters are added to the list of selectable characters in the Level Editor. Each scenario can have up to five characters, so you can technically have 5 Donnies, if you’d like.
Thanks to the possibility to select any character to each scenario, we are reintroducing Archie back to the game.

Rebalanced Stats System
Last but not least, we have rebalanced the stats system. That means, that, unlike previous versions, NPCs will attend their needs less frequently. Now they should focus more on the story and set goals of the scenario, rather than complaining about starvation.
Bug Fixes
As usual, in addition to new features, we’re always working to improve the game by addressing bugs reported by players or discovered by our team. In this update, we’ve fixed and updated following:
- Scenario browser shows the scenario names in a single line now
- Ari Sherman character has better emote sounds
- Added an early timeout for text-to-speech in case the TTS service does not respond quickly enough
- Game launcher should clean up old, unneeded files
- Launcher allows the game to be installed to a user-provided location through the Settings section
- Prevented AI Director from downloading extra files by including them in the installation
Survey
We would like to ask you to invest few minutes to fill this survey. Your feedback is very valuable to us and results from this survey can help us significantly to assess what players think about certain features or what you would like to see in the game in the future.
Questions marked with a star are mandatory, but there are few, that you don’t have to fill, if you don’t want to answer that question.
In the end of the survey there is a question to fill your email address, which you use for playing AI People. This information will be only used to share survey-related updates or benefits.
Thank you!
